Paper accepted @ USENIX Security 2025!

The paper “PrivaCI in VR: Exploring Perceptions and Acceptability of Data Sharing in Virtual Reality Through Contextual Integrity” by Emiram, Melina Kleber, and Patricia has been accepted for publication at the 34th annual USENIX Security conference. The paper conducted a survey of 1,198 Germans and found that consent and recipient are key to acceptable data sharing in VR, while many remain unaware of privacy risks and dissatisfied with current controls—highlighting the need for better standards and user empowerment.

USENIX Security will be held in Seattle, USA, from August 13 to 15. See you there!
