Patricia attended this year's PETS Symposium in Lausanne, Switzerland and presented her recent publication " 'Surprised, Shocked,Worried’: User Reactions to Facebook Data Collection from Third Parties", in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Thorsten Strufe from the chair of IT Security at KASTEL Security Research Labs (KIT).
The paper aims to answer questions about the awareness and impact on privacy attitudes, user reactions and validation of the usability and usefulness of the Off-Facebook activity which is a transparency dashboard that informs about personal data collection from third parties.
