Paolo Gorlani has joined the HIT research group

At the beginning of March, Paolo Gorlani has joined the High-Performance IT Systems group as a research associate. Paolo holds a Master's degree in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Additionally, he successfully completed the Master in High-Performance Computing organized by the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) and International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Triest Italy.

Paolo will work on the HighPerMeshes project where he will contribute with his background in accelerating scientific applications with FPGAs and designing high-order discontinuous Galerkin PDE solvers for GPUs.

His research interest is solving challenging applications from computational science by combining his background in applied mathematics with emerging parallel computer architectures.
